Life asks a lot of us, and of the people we love. Sequoia Family Therapy is a warm, unhurried place to understand the patterns between you, heal what’s been hurting, and grow toward the relationships you’ve been hoping for. Virtual appointments anywhere in Texas with a Spanish-speaking marriage and family therapist.
Whether you come on your own, with a partner, or with your whole family, we look at the whole picture: you, the people you love, and the patterns between you.
Family Therapy
A calm, shared space where every voice in the family is heard, and you find your way back to each other.
I believe healing happens in relationship. My work is about creating a sense of security and understanding, so you can express what you need, work through life’s tough moments, and reconnect with the people who matter most.
What happens during the free 15-minute consultation?
+
It’s a relaxed video or phone call. You can share a little about what’s bringing you in, ask anything about how therapy works, and get a feel for whether we’re a good fit. There’s no cost and no obligation.
Do you offer in-person sessions? How does online therapy work?
+
All sessions happen by secure video, so you can join from anywhere in Texas, as long as you’re in a private, confidential space where you can talk freely and won’t be overheard, like a room with the door closed or your parked car. Before each session you’ll get a private link through the client portal. All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer and a steady connection.
Do you offer therapy in Spanish? / ¿Ofrecen terapia en español?
+
Yes! Sessions can be held fully in Spanish, fully in English, or in whatever mix feels most natural for you and your family.
Sí, puede tener sus sesiones completamente en español; queremos que se sienta en casa.
What are your rates? Do you take insurance?
+
Sequoia is a private-pay practice. Individual sessions are $90, and couples and family sessions are $100. We don’t bill insurance directly, which keeps your care private and lets us focus on what you need rather than what a plan will cover.
What if my partner or family member isn’t sure about therapy?
+
That’s really common, and it’s okay. Relationships are connected systems: when one person begins to respond differently, the whole pattern starts to shift. Every situation is different. Some people start in individual therapy and later move into couples or family sessions; others keep working on their own. We’ll figure out together what fits your situation.
How long does therapy usually take?
+
Every relationship and every family is different. Some people find what they need in a handful of sessions; others want longer support while they work through deeper patterns or a big transition. We’ll set goals together and check in regularly about how things are feeling, so you’re never guessing.
